Rates on the Rise


Just 3 weeks after fixed rates from most major lenders dropped, TD is pulling a U-turn and heading the other way. Effective today April 5, 2011 TD will lift its 1-5 year fixed rate 35 basis points, hiking its posted 5-year fixed rate from 5.34% to 5.69%.

TD says its decision reflects “rising bond yields and the subsequent increase in the cost of funds.”
